Short overview about Cisco Aci Backup and what's good to know about.
Cisco ACI is a software-defined networking (SDN) solution that enables data center administrators to centrally manage network policies and application connectivity. ACI simplifies network infrastructure and reduces operational costs by automating many of the tasks associated with managing a complex network.
The Cisco ACI backup and restore process is initiated from the APIC GUI. To start the process, login to the APIC and navigate to the Fabric tab. From the Fabric tab, select the Backup & Restore option.
The Backup & Restore page will list the available options for backing up the ACI configuration. There are two backup options available:
System backup – this will backup the entire ACI configuration, including the APIC database.
Configuration backup – this will backup the ACI configuration, excluding the APIC database.
Select the desired backup option and click the Backup button. A backup file will be created and downloaded to your local system.
To restore the ACI configuration, select the Restore option from the Backup & Restore page. Browse to the location of the backup file and click the Restore button.
The Cisco ACI backup and restore process is simple and easy to use. This process can be used to migrate the ACI configuration to a new APIC or to restore the ACI configuration in the event of a failure.
