Short overview about What Is Cisco Aci Architecture? and what's good to know about.
Cisco ACI is a software-defined networking (SDN) solution that enables network administrators to centrally manage network policies and application provisioning. ACI is an application-centric infrastructure that reduces network complexity and improves application performance.
ACI uses the concept of tenants to isolate traffic between different groups of users. A tenant can be a department, application, or even a single user.
ACI also uses the concept of application profiles to simplify the provisioning of application-specific networking policies. Application profiles are templates that can be used to quickly provision new applications without the need to manually configure networking policies.
ACI is managed using the Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC). The APIC provides a centralized point of management for ACI fabrics.
ACI is designed to be scalable and extensible. ACI fabrics can be deployed in a variety of sizes, from small deployments of two leaf switches to large deployments of up to 16 spine switches.
ACI fabrics can also be extended by adding additional leaves and spines as needed. ACI also supports the use of physical and virtual devices in the same fabric.
Cisco ACI is a powerful SDN solution that can simplify the provisioning and management of complex application networking policies.
