Short overview about Cisco Aci Zero Touch Provisioning and what's good to know about.
Cisco ACI Zero Touch Provisioning
ZTP relies on DHCP to provision the switches. When a new switch is connected to the ACI fabric, it will send out a DHCP request. The DHCP server will then respond with the IP address, default gateway, and other information that the switch needs to be able to connect to the ACI controller.
Once the switch has connected to the ACI controller, the controller will take care of the rest of the provisioning process. This includes downloading the switch configuration, installing any required software packages, and initializing the switch.
One of the great things about ZTP is that it can be used to provision switches that are not yet supported by the ACI controller. This means that you can deploy a new ACI fabric without having to wait for a new controller release.
ZTP is a great time saver when deploying a new ACI fabric. It can also be used to provision switches that are not yet supported by the ACI controller.
