Cisco’s Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) is a data center architecture that enables users to deploy applications quickly and easily. ACI uses a centralized policy model to allow administrators to define application requirements and then automatically provisions the required infrastructure components, including firewall rules.
In addition, ACI’s centralized policy model makes it easy to implement changes and rollbacks. If a change needs to be made, the administrator can simply modify the policy and push the changes out to the devices. If there are problems with the change, the administrator can quickly roll back the changes without affecting other parts of the data center.
Finally, ACI’s application-centric approach provides better visibility into traffic flows and makes it easier to troubleshoot problems. By mapping applications to specific traffic flows, administrators can quickly identify which traffic is associated with which application. This makes it easier to troubleshoot problems and ensure that applications are performing as expected.
