Cisco’s Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) is a network infrastructure that enables the delivery of advanced application services. ACI is designed to simplify network operations and reduce costs by automating network configuration and management tasks. The current version of ACI is v1.3, which was released in November of 2015.
ACI v1.3 includes a number of new features and enhancements, such as:
- Support for Cisco’s Nexus 9000 Series Switches
- Improved scalability with support for up to 16,000 Fabric Extenders (FEXs)
- Enhanced application visibility and troubleshooting with Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) Embedded Event Manager (EEM)
- Support for IPv6 addressing
Cisco ACI is a powerful and flexible network infrastructure solution that can help organizations to improve application delivery and reduce operational costs.
